The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies has appointed Suresh Krishnan as the new general counsel for its Multinational Client Group. In this new role, he will have global legal oversight of the company’s multinational products and services initiative.
In his new role, Mr Krishnan will report to Robert Cusumano, general counsel of ACE, and will be based in New York. He will be responsible for strategies including managing and servicing multinational businesses and will be a resource for the company’s North American and international businesses.
Mr Krishnan work with the company’s international legal team will ensure a global perspective and a local tailored approach to legal and other technical matters which impact multinational insurance programs.
Most recently, Mr Krishnan served as general counsel of ACE USA. He joined ACE in 1999 as vice president and assistant general counsel of ACE Capital Re. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he held various legal positions with the Gerling Group and the Swiss Re Group.
Mr Cusumano, said: “The extensive research, market knowledge and thought leadership on the multinational insurance segment that Suresh has contributed to both ACE Overseas General and ACE in North America have prepared him well for this important role. His understanding of the complexities of multinational insurance programs and his proven track record of achievement at ACE are terrific assets for this position.”
