To deliver legal services to ACE’s property and casualty and accident and health insurance units outside of North Americ

The ACE Group has appointed Howard Schrader to executive vice president and general counsel of the compnay’s overseas general operations. He will be responsible for the delivery of all legal services to ACE’s property, casualty, accident and health insurance units outside of North America. This expands his scope of responsibility from the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions currently to include ACE’s 26-country presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr Schrader will continue to be based in New York and reports to John Keogh, CEO of ACE’s overseas general operations, and Robert Cusumano, general counsel, ACE Limited.

Mr Schrader joined ACE in 2008 as senior vice president and general counsel for the Asia Pacific, Far East (Japan) and Latin America regions. Previously, he was with DLA Piper in New York, where he provided counsel to ACE on a range of matters as well as to major US insurers and foreign companies engaged in securities, contract and mergers-and-acquisitions litigation.
