ACE, a global commercial property and casualty insurance firm, has named Jeremy Cole as risk control account manager in the UK and Ireland casualty risk engineering department.

ACE casualty risk control manager UK and Ireland Phil Myers said Jeremy’s skills will further enhance ACE’s offering in the Casualty team, wherein he will focus on assisting ACE’s clients in liability risk management, regulatory compliance and claims defensibility.

"Having worked in both the private and public sectors he comes to ACE with significant experience in occupational health and safety, where he has managed major casualty accounts across a range of industries," Myers said.

In the new role, Jeremy will be responsible for delivering effective occupational risk management systems to their clients incorporating risk engineering and will also work with brokers and clients to advice on mitigating losses, preventing incidents and identifying areas for improvement.

Having optimum exposure in risk management in both the private and public sectors, Jeremy will be fully responsible for reducing clients’ ‘cost of risk’ and maintaining best practice, said ACE.

Before this current role Jeremy served for six years as a casualty account manager in risk engineering for Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.

Prior to that, he served as a policy manager at the cabinet office, developing government policy on risk and regulation.
