ACE Group has launched new contractors pollution liability (CPL) owner-controlled insurance program (OCIP) for healthcare industry construction projects.

The coverage will support construction related activities such as new or renovation of hospitals, outpatient facilities, clinics, laboratories, and assisted living operations.

Additionally, the coverage includes healthcare facility owners as well as general contractors & construction managers who provide contracting services to the healthcare industry.

ACE Environmental Risk National Product Line Manager vice president Gerry Rojewski said that the company will also address the complex environmental risks and exposures of day-to-day operations faced by contractors.

"The addition of this new healthcare-specific OCIP program will help both owners and contractors to prevent coverage gaps resulting from varying pollution-related exclusions by using a single policy form," Rojewski added.

Designed to minimize bottom-line impacts, ACE Environmental Risk provides a full range of environmental liability solutions as well as hands-on management for those liabilities.

With limits available up to $50m, features of the coverage include dedicated environmental claims specialists, to be written as an owner contractor-controlled insurance program as well as fungi and bacteria coverage included in form, among others.
