ACE has appointed Mark Homan as the Executive Vice President of Casualty, for ACE’s international insurance operations, effective from 1 July 2012.

Based in London, Mark Homan will succeed Keith Stibbards and will report to David Furby, Division President, Commercial Property & Casualty, ACE Overseas General.

Keith Stibbards will continue to serve in an advisory capacity.

With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Homan, in his new role, will be responsible for the company’s commercial liability insurance business in 50 countries throughout Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Homan has served as Senior Vice President of Casualty division for ACE’s international insurance operations since joining the company in early 2011.

Prior to ACE, he held management positions in Europe for Chartis from 2001 to 2010 and underwriting positions in Europe and the US for Allianz, where he began his insurance career in 1993.

Commenting on Homan’s appointment, Furby said: "His leadership experience and wealth of expertise in liability classes ideally position him to lead our international casualty team as we continue to grow and develop this business around the world."
