ACE Insurance Japan deploys Blue Coat Solutions for web security

ACE Insurance Japan, an affiliate of the ACE Group, has deployed Blue Coat Systems' 30 ProxySG and 200 PacketShaper appliances in its headquarters and remote offices globally, for web security and to manage web applications.

Blue Coat Systems said its ProxySG will protect the insurer from escalating and dangerous web threats and PacketShaper solution will manage employee use of web applications.

The insurer will use PacketShaper solution to discover, monitor, assess and control web applications
and align network usage with business priorities.

In addition, the insurance group has deployed Blue Coat ProxyAV appliances and Blue Coat Reporter and WebFilter software.

According to the Blue Coat Systems, ProxyAV solution will provide essential inline anti-malware scanning to analyze all file downloads from user-authenticated web 2.0 sites, web mail, file sharing and other methods of content delivery while enforcing corporate IT policies related to that content.

The Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway solution with ProxySG appliances and Blue Coat WebFilter software combines inline malware scanning and policy-based controls with the cloud-based intelligence of the Blue Coat WebPulse service.

The ACE Group has deployed more than 30 ProxySG appliances and 200 PacketShaper appliances globally.
