ACE Westchester, the US wholesale insurance division of the ACE Group, has established a new railroad underwriting business to provide railroad liability insurance products and services through a new product offering ‘ACE Tracks’.

Designed to offer tailored coverage for damages occurring from covered hazards, ACE Tracks protects railroad operations and railroad contractor clients.

The specific products and services offered by the new ACE Tracks include railroad liability claims made and occurrence forms, as well as Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), foreign rolling stock and bill of lading coverage.

Additional services are general liability with tailored coverages for railroad contractors, availability of railroad protective liability (ISO) filed forms and excursion railroad liability occurrence coverage with tailored coverages.

Catherine Whiddon has been appointed as vice president of railroad practice leader and she will be accountable for providing specialized railroad insurance services in North America.

Based in Dallas, Texas, she will report to Dean Andrighetto, division president, casualty, for ACE Westchester.

Andrighetto said that railroads and transportation infrastructure significantly contributes in the development of a nation’s economy.

Working with ACE branches across the country, she will cater the comprehensive range of insurance and risk management liability coverage primarily designed to meet the unique needs of the railroad transportation industry.

Prior to joining ACE, Whiddon was working with a US based carrier, where she served as vice president & railroad business unit practice leader.
