ACE Group, one of the world's largest multi-line property and casualty insurers, announced today the appointment of Edward Kopp as the new Country President to lead its general insurance operations in Korea - ACE American Fire and Marine Insurance Company.

Mr. Kopp, whose appointment was effective on 3 December replaces incumbent, Mr. Rob Wilkinson who has been appointed as the new Country President for ACE’s general insurance operations in Thailand.

Mr. Kopp has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in Deloitte & Touche in the US where he originates. During the course of his career, he has worked for some leading institutions in banking and insurance in increasingly more responsible roles – as Chief Operating Officer in Korea, Chief Executive Officer in Hong Kong and most recently as Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer for a joint-venture at a well-known financial group in Korea.

Over the years, Mr. Kopp has developed a broad skillset encompassing business and product development, underwriting and channel management. As an all-rounder in operations, he is familiar with the leadership and management of Finance, Claims, Customer Service, HR and IT.
