ACE Group has announced leadership changes within its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The firm has appointed David Robinson, former ACE Overseas General Financial Lines Executive Vice President, as Regional President, UK and Ireland and will be responsible for ACE’s retail insurance operations the two countries.

Robinson will be based in London and will report to ACE European Group Chairman Andrew Kendrick while also serving as a Director of ACE European replacing Richard Pryce at ACE and ensuring underwriting profitability across each product and region.

David has also served a number of financial lines roles with responsibility for both the UK and Europe prior to joining ACE.

ACE also named UK and Ireland Casualty and Major Risks Director Phil Sharpe as Chief Operating Officer, UK and Ireland Retail Insurance and will report to David.

UK and Ireland Corporate Risks Director Drinan Pat has been promoted as Regional Senior Vice President, Accident and Health for EMEA and will be responsible for ACE’s life insurance operations in the region, effective from 1 July 2012.

The new appointments are subjected to the relevant regulatory approvals.
