Accident Fund Insurance Company of America has appointed Lisa Riddle as the new vice president of claims and medical operations. In her new role, Ms Riddle will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company's claims operations and medical-cost management.
Ms Riddle succeeds Steve Cooper, who was named president of United Heartland, the New Berlin, Wis., subsidiary of Accident Fund Holdings.
Mike Britt, president of Accident Fund, said: We chose Lisa for this new role because she has proven herself to be an exceptional performer in her relatively short tenure here at Accident Fund. She brings a great deal of claims experience to this position and is committed to managing medical costs while ensuring that injured workers get the care they need.

Previously, Ms Riddle worked for Travelers Insurance Company for 31 years in a variety of claims and service center positions. She joined Accident Fund as director of claims operations in 2007 and was named vice president of claims operations in December 2008.
