Accenture has unveiled its second Digital Insurance Solution Center (DISC) in Chicago, US, which enables clients to test digital insurance products and solutions through proof of concept pilots.

DISC

The new center follows the first one that was launched in 2014 in the UK and showcases ‘art of the possible’ solutions and Internet of Things devices.

The next-generation IT architecture offered by DISC features cloud-based assets and web services, in addition to multi-channel, telematics and data analytics capabilities.

At the new center, clients can review and interact with prototyped solutions.

They will be able to develop solutions that respond to the opportunities and challenges insurers face by learning from benchmark successes and failures from past projects.

Accenture Property and Casualty Insurance Services managing director Cindy De Armond said: "DISC offers insurers a cost-efficient, low-risk way of experimenting with a wide range of technologies before deploying them to consumers, business partners or internally.

"Accenture works with insurers in a state-of-the-art environment to help them explore emerging trends, such as robotics and drones, which is crucial as insurance companies become more digital."
