Accenture will develop and maintain a wide range of IT applications, which will help the treasury to digitize its claims management system and further improve and accelerate claims service.

Finnish State Treasury insurance director Jyri Tapper said: "Accenture has the extensive experience in insurance claims management systems that we needed and a deep understanding of the TIA software in particular."

As part of the deal, Accenture will develop and maintain new functionalities, allowing the claims system to cover additional insurance products and integrate online services into the service processes.

In addition, Accenture will support the treasury to upgrade its claims system and implement statutory updates.

Accenture Finland health and public service business managing director Marko Rauhala said: "The Finnish State Treasury is a very important client for us, and the framework agreement is a significant step in our co-operation."

The Finnish State Treasury is a multidisciplinary government agency in Finland, which develops internal corporate services such as financial and personnel administration for the central government.

Based on the TIA Technology end-to-end integrated core solution, the State Treasury’s claims system was deployed in 2012, which currently processes statutory work and military accident insurance claims and payments.
