Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, has launched a new software offering, integration accelerator, to help insurers save time and resources as well as reduce implementation costs.

The configurable software will allow the Accenture Life Insurance Platform (ALIP) to integrate with third party systems and replaces the need to create custom code for multiple software systems with configuration for efficient data access.

Integration accelerator will also reduce the need for coding, as most of the insurers depend on time-consuming coding efforts to update software interfaces and data fields to make customised data reports.

In addition, insurers can also save time and resources by further simplifying the exchange of ALIP data with other IT systems.

Accenture Software for Life Insurance product line lead Mitchel Ludwig said that the company strives to continuously enhance the ALIP.

"The integration accelerator helps our clients build, manage and support integration through configuration changes rather than start from scratch with new coding, enabling them to take more ownership of their IT systems," Ludwig added.

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America has already deployed the integration accelerator.
