1347 Property Insurance appoints Robert Gantley as COO

1347 Property Insurance Holdings (PIH), a property and casualty insurance holding company offering homeowners’ and dwelling insurance to individuals in Louisiana through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Maison Insurance Company, announced the appointment of Mr. Robert Gantley as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

Mr. Gantley has served as Vice President of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary Maison Managers Inc. since August 2014.
Mr. Gantley has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the claims and underwriting aspect of the property and casualty insurance business.

Previous to joining PIH, he served as President of ClaimCor, LLC, a client centric claim and underwriting technical solutions company which specialized in independent claims adjustments and insurance underwriting inspections.

He oversaw all operations of the business, which included planning, forecasting, deployment and management, property and claim investigation services, and all facets of litigation management.

Prior to leading ClaimCor, LLC, Mr. Gantley served as Vice President of Research and Development of SDII Global Corporation, a geotechnical and geophysical company servicing the property and casualty insurance industry.

From August 2005 through January 2010, he held the position of Chief Claims Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Edison Insurance Group, a Florida domestic property and casualty insurer. Prior to that, Mr. Gantley served as Senior Vice President of Claims of Cypress Property & Casualty Insurance Company. Mr. Gantley holds Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University.
